Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health
Therapy and Counseling Services

Real people. Real help.

A fresh approach to therapy and counseling.

Axis Mundi Center for Mental Health believes that authenticity is a big part of getting therapy right. We also know that one of the best indicators of therapy success is the rightness of fit between the therapist and the client! That means it's vital for you to have a sense of who we are, and that old models of "invisibility" in a therapist aren't going to contribute to you making a good choice.

Our clinicians get that and identify themselves in ways that are personal, genuine, and still respectful and committed to all of the ways that therapy is all about YOU.

We are a part of a growing trend in mental health services that acknowledges and seeks to address the need for therapists and counselors who are culturally humble. We are devoted to developing that awareness and skill-set, and are a diverse and growing group of practitioners who offer a variety of approaches to mental wellness…Traditional treatment like CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy, holistic and somatic therapy methods, indigenous approaches, and spiritual perspectives are all offered.

We’re here to change and challenge what therapy has meant and who it’s been accessible to.

Get in touch with us to set up a consultation, or use the contact form at the bottom of this page to inquire whether our services are right for you.

Areas of Practice

Therapy for individuals

Individual therapy (sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives and relationships that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and then work towards them.

Therapy for relationships, couples, and families

Relationship counseling is a process through which people (who may be engaged, dating, married, partnered—or sometimes even parent and child or other pairings) works with a trained therapist to identify specific areas of conflict and/or aspects of their relationship they would like to change, and then develops a plan of action to improve each individual’s satisfaction and contentment. This approach is also the foundation for family work.

therapy in groups

We offer group therapy and counseling that is both supportive and investigative. Group work give clients the benefits of many minds working on the same problems in safe, non shaming environments.

Contact us for more information.

retreat programs

Axis Mundi offers retreat and ritual programs that are for groups of 6 -12. These retreats are designed to help clients "unplug" from the day-to-day grind of the world, and reconnect to the quiet, still, voice within. They take place in beautiful, natural environments, and can be tailored to the groups' needs.

traineeships & associateships

Axis Mundi offers a very limited amount of internship placements to new clinicians who meet our standards of excellence and values, via invitation. For information, please email execdirect@axismunditherapy.org.
