I am calm, compassionate and curious. I believe that healing happens in connection. I believe that healing happens when we allow ourselves to turn towards the pain, rather than away, until a shift occurs. I believe that we all have the power and tools to heal ourselves—that it is just a matter of re-membering those parts of ourselves that have been forgotten.

I am trained in depth psychotherapy and hold a certificate in trauma studies. Therefore, I use a range of techniques and modalities, such as dream work, expressive arts, symbolism and metaphor. I help my clients build awareness around how patterns of behavior and thought were born and may no longer serve their health and wellbeing. Key to this work is developing a new relationship to difficult feelings and to the body. Ultimately, I follow the lead of the client, ensuring a pace in which the client feels as comfortable and safe as they can.

An important aspect of my work has to do with context. How does your environment, both immediate and larger-scale, shape you? How has it impacted your development and health? I believe that intentionally holding context as part of the healing process allows for a chain reaction to occur at a deeper level; as transformation in the individual happens, the relationships and systems in which they live also transform, including those that are intergenerational, social, political and historical.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have a background in soccer and working with youth. I feel passionate about therapy as a way to give back to the community that has taught and continues to teach me so much. I am also a twin and committed to expanding the development of “twin psychology” in respect to relationship and identity. Being a twin greatly informs my work, regardless of whether or not the client is one themselves, particularly in understanding intimacy, interdependence and wholeness in relationship to self and others.

My door is open to clients from any and all walks of life, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, LGBTQ+, spirituality and cultural diversity. I am grateful and humbled to be a witness to others as they explore what it means to be them.

“We need a r/evolution of the mind. We need a r/evolution of the heart. We need a r/evolution of the spirit…we need to be weapons of mass construction. Weapons of mass love. It’s not enough just to change the system. We need to change ourselves.” Assata Shakur
