Do you ever feel like you’re searching for a sense of home, both within yourself and in the world? As an Arab immigrant living in the U.S., I intimately understand what it means to live between multiple worlds feeling like you don’t fully belong in any. The journey to find home—whether it’s within your cultural identity, relationships, or your own body—can be confusing and isolating. My goal is to help you reconnect to a sense of home that feels true to you.
I identify as free-spirited, non-conventional, and non-conforming, and I bring these qualities into the therapeutic space. My work centers on honoring your autonomy and uniqueness, guiding you toward a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and expansive. My therapeutic style is warm, nurturing, thoughtful, intuitive, and direct. I approach therapy through a non-pathologizing lens, recognizing the unique strengths and strategies that have supported you thus far. Through my own healing journey, I learned that true healing comes not from striving to be a “better” version of myself, but from reconnecting with my body and learning to love and accept even the parts of myself I once struggled with. By building a relationship with my breath, I began to access the deep wisdom that resides within the body, learning to trust its signals and rhythms. In our work together, we will explore your inner world with gentleness and kindness—softening your inner critic, befriending your protective parts, and offering care and compassion to your wounded inner child. We’ll attune to your nervous system, and move at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
Clients that tend to work with me usually carry multiple marginalized identities. These identities may include identifying as Arab, Muslim, queer/trans, non-monogamous, immigrant, 1st generation, and BIPOC. I have experience working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, religious trauma, and individuals who are suffering from chronic depression, or grappling with feelings of shame, hopelessness, dissociation, or life ending thoughts. As a liberation-based therapist, I am committed to naming and blaming the social constructs and systemic injustices that impact your life. I recognize the intersectionality of your identities and how they shape your experiences of mental health and well-being. Through ongoing self-reflection, I work to confront my own biases and ensure our work is grounded in humility and social justice.
